Work to Begin on New Building


Preparation is underway to begin construction of SDSU’s new Aztec Basketball Performance Center. Fencing has gone up surrounding the site adjacent to the west side of the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center where outbuildings have been moved in to facilitate the project.

Fencing and outbuildings have been installed at the site of the new Basketball Performance Center west of the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center.
Ground is expected to be broken in late August for the facility to provide the men's and women's basketball teams with classroom and practice space. The center will include: 
  • Two full basketball courts
  • A total of 8 baskets
  • Locker room for each team
  • Team lounge for each team
  • Coaches locker room for each staff
  • Film room
  • Athletic training room
  • Approximately 23,500 square feet
