“The Full Monty”
April 21 - 30
SDSU’s School of Theatre, Television and Film is set to stage the musical comedy “The Full Monty” April 21 – 30 at the Don Powell Theatre. Performed by musical theatre students, the show was nominated for 10 Tony Awards and features one of the most anticipated closing numbers of any musical.
Based on the film of the same name, “The Full Monty” features a plot involving six unemployed steelworkers who find a renewed sense of purpose when they scheme to make money performing a striptease act. The musical had its world premiere at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre in 2000 and opened on Broadway that same year.
