Alumni Center Constructed to High Sustainability Standards
When you look at the red tiles sitting on the black rooftop of the new Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center, what you’re really seeing is green.  The Spanish-style tiles were stripped from the Alumni Association offices formerly occupying the site and will soon be installed on top of the new facility.

Surprise Gradfest Meeting Reunites Teacher with Former Student
Brian Vaivio (’97) had come to Gradfest to get a cap, gown, and tickets for graduation.  He’ll pick up his second SDSU degree, a master’s of science in business administration, at his May 25 commencement ceremony.

Register now for the 20/30s Temecula Wine Tasting! This year's tour will start at Belle Marie Vineyards in Escondido. Then we travel up to Temecula to visit Keyways, Leonesse and Mt. Palomar.

Aztec Road Trip to UCLA

Tailgate Planned Prior to Game at Rose Bowl
Buses will roll from San Diego carrying Aztec fans to SDSU’s September 5 game with UCLA at the Rose Bowl.  A pre-game tailgate party is also planned at the nearby Brookside Golf Club.

University Dance Company to Perform Faculty Choreography
The SDSU School of Music and Dance proudly presents the University Dance Company performing faculty choreography May 8 and 9 at 8pm in the Don Powell Theater on campus. General admission tickets are $12 and $8 for students.  Tickets may be purchased online and at the Don Powell box office one hour prior to performance.

Strasburg To Receive USA Baseball Player Of The Year Award
USA Baseball will present San Diego State pitcher Stephen Strasburg with the 2008 Richard W. "Dick" Case Award, Saturday, May 9, for his performance on the USA Baseball National Team (Collegiate) and the U.S. Olympic Baseball Team last summer. The award recognizes USA Baseball's Athlete of the Year and honors the organization's founding Executive Director/CEO.
